As Vogue editors, we often wax poetic on the latest runway must-haves and home decor treasures, but not every item we gush about on this website ultimately ends up in our closets and homes. Our discoveries are nice to behold—they’re lovely to look at and inspire fun conversation—however, of all these cool things to buy, what did we actually end up purchasing? Each month we’ll highlight those special finds our editors welcomed into their lives—all the things that made us buyers rejoice.
From the luxury sandals to the crochet knit dresses topping our shopping lists, it’s clear to see that Vogue staffers are more than elated to welcome sunny days. And our summer shopping habits go beyond simply updating our wardrobes. In May, a couple of editors also transitioned their beauty routines with skin-illuminating products and SPF-filled foundations.
If you’re wondering what are some of the cool things to buy right now, here’s a bird’s eye view into our shopping carts.

I’m all about an anklet, and this summer, I really want to get a stack going to adorn my feet. Missoma has a good range of styles, from the super delicate to the chunky to the boho beaded variety so there’s lots to choose from. Personally, I like to mix and match.

I recently bought a pair of Prada’s fisherman sandals, and needless to say, I’m obsessed. I love that it’s durable enough for New York City’s streets, breathable to wear during summer’s balmy weather, and overall, chic. And did I mention they’re comfortable too? Although the exact pair I bought was sold out, there’s still the chunkier “Monolith” style available in a few colorways.

It took me a long time, but I finally found the perfect I’m-just-chilling-but-I-still-look-cute outfit formula to wear on weekends. It’s the Skims Soft Lounge dress, and it’s sooooo soft and comfy, kind of like sweats but better. Also, I’ve made it my mission to start making green juices every morning at home, so I indulged in a little retail therapy to help kickstart my good habit. I came across these aesthetically pleasing bottles on TikTok, and I’m glad I purchased them.

My love of espadrilles as the only shoe you need for summer is well documented. But what about summer’s black-tie events? Enter the satin espadrille. I picked up these satin Castañers for a wedding in Italy over Memorial Day weekend and experienced immense buyers rejoice. They are as chic as they are comfortable and even allowed me to turn down the offerings of slippers passed out on the dance floor around midnight.

Now that we’ve (unofficially) kicked off summer, my yoga practices have moved to the outdoors and have gotten a little more fiery. To help beat the heat, I’ve been obsessed with this breathable Adidas yoga bodysuit. It hugs my body in all the right ways as I hold any pose, and looks great when paired with a pair of shorts, too. I also needed a new lightweight yoga mat that I could easily tote around all season long, and one that featured an excellent grip for those hotter days. For under $50, this Manduka one couldn’t be more perfect.

Despite the fact that the humidity in New York always delivers a dewy complexion—whether you want one or not!—I still can’t leave the house without RMS’s highlighter. Dab a little on your cheekbones and cupid’s bow, and ready to roll.

I am normally a white eyelet only girl, so this black Dôen number feels perfect for pushing me out of my comfort zone. I can’t wait to wear it around the office and beyond. I also bought the Kosas foundation. Yes, I saw it all over TikTok and caved—it has an amazing blur effect!

When it comes to activewear, Nike reigns supreme. Not only do they provide extreme comfort, but they are also great and add a casual touch to a dressier look. These Nike Air Force x Supreme are certainly no exception.
Buying this special edition of Air Force Ones was even more exciting than usual since shopping for ultra-buzzy Supreme items is a thrill on its own.

I’ve been stocking up on my summer white best-of-basics. These are my favorite tees and tanks (ever!) and my new favorite white jeans that I’ll be wearing all summer.

This summer, I’m leaning into crochet-knit everything. I fell in love with this fruity Staud dress at first sight. It’s understated yet playful and perfect for those mild summer nights. Whether I’m headed to the beach or to the farmer’s market, I know this vibrant Faithful the Brand tote will fit all of my necessities and more.

Believe it or not, this is the first time since attending my Catholic middle school that I own not one but two white button-ups. Made from organic cotton, this Wilfred Free Relaxed shirt by Aritzia secured a spot thanks to its roomy fit that looks good alone or as a cover-up when the summer breeze kicks in.

I got this Rachel Comey skirt earlier this month from the infamous Rachel Comey sample sale that just happened to be a few blocks from my apartment! On the second to last day of the sale, I found this denim skirt under a ginormous pile of clothing, and it just happened to be in my size so I immediately needed to purchase it. It’s been a staple in my spring to summer transitional wardrobe this month, and I’ve been pairing it with knee-high leather boots, colorful tanks, and blouses. Unfortunately, it’s not sold on the site anymore, but if you happen to find one on any resale sites like The RealReal it’s a purchase I highly recommend to anyone!

Everybody’s been getting obsessed with Formula 1 lately because of Drive To Survive on Netflix, and that’s great—but the real action, as far as I’m concerned, is the motorcycle-racing version of that, MotoGP, and the doc series MotoGP Unlimited on Amazon. So far this season, Ducati has been utterly dominant—the fact that they make the most beautiful production bikes on the face of the earth doesn’t hurt either—and, being a superfan, I’ve taken to wearing this version of the team jacket. (In my mind, I’m going 226 mph down the straightaway.)

Though next-level nails are taking over the fashion scene, for us minimalistic gals, rings remain our best accessory for a serious “handy candy” moment. Currently obsessing over Minnie Lane’s Art Deco-inspired Zelda ring with a sapphire stone. My nails still may be nude, but my hands are screaming opulence!

I’m in desperate need of new swimwear for beach season and thought this set would be perfect for an upcoming trip to the Hamptons. The crochet bikini top doubles as a crop top, so I can easily throw on a pair of boyfriend jeans or shorts and instantly have a cute summer fit to hit the town.
There’s no better way to commence the start of summer than purchasing (or in this case, splurging on) a new pair of sunnies. I want to add more color to my wardrobe and thought these red Prada sunglasses were the perfect start. I will be wearing these every day for the foreseeable future—preferably on a beach with a margarita in my hand!
