So too did Brooklyn feel compelled to push the boat out for their first Met Gala as a married couple, wearing a cream suit with a laid-back spin courtesy of his loose, open-collared shirt, elasticated waist, and crisp white sneakers. “Usually, I just go very simple and wear black suits, but this year, I wanted to add a little bit more,” he says. “When I saw that sheer shirt for the first time, though, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, can I pull this off?’ But it was so comfortable and Pierpaolo absolutely killed it. It’s definitely one of my favorite outfits I’ve ever worn.” That’s not to say the pair’s coordinating looks didn’t come without a little negotiating, however. “I always have to match her, it’s never the other way round,” Brooklyn says. “I think Brooklyn’s over it,” Nicola counters. “Next time I have to match him.” “Yeah, that will never happen,” Brooklyn adds, cheekily.
