Speaking to the show’s hosts Dr. Drew Pinsky and Nessa the TV star added, ‘I think I need to do my own thing. I think this needs to be my farewell. I think I’m ready.’

She doubled down on the statement as she added, ‘I think that we should part ways. I think this should be the end.’

The media personality later transitioned to the show’s newer iteration Teen Mom.

During the reunion show, which Lowry joined virtually, Dr. Pinsky gave the cast member accolades for helping shift statistics in teen pregnancy.

He said ‘You helped that,’ in reference to the decline in young women becoming teenage moms since the show premiered.

She replied by saying, ‘I hope so. I hope I had a small part in that.’

Kailyn’s struggles as a teen mom were well-documented on the series, starting with her leaning on ex Jo Rivera’s family.

She didn’t have the support of her family when she initially got pregnant, and she moved in with her partner and his parents.

They eventually broke up, and Kailyn explored new relationships throughout her run on the show.

Lowry is the only member of the Teen Mom 2 cast to star in all 10 seasons of the MTV reality series.

She made headlines in July for filing a defamation lawsuit against her Teen Mom 2 co-star Briana Dejesus, claiming she made ‘untrue statements’ about her.

She also made headlines when she and her entire family contracted COVID-19 back last August.

Kailyn told E! News, ‘I really hope that people watch my story specifically to see that it’s not always easy, but when you put yourself first and your kids first, you find a way to do whatever needs to be done and for me, I’m going to figure it out. There’s no other option.’
